KORU

The koru is said to sybolise rebirth, new growth and regeneration. It has an obvious reference to the fern frond that is seen in New Zealand's bush and Maori make this connection in the following whakatauki (proverb).

"Ka hinga atu he tete kura, ka hara mai he tete kura."

("As one fern frond dies, one is born to take its place.")

DISCS

The disc is the most basic of shapes and a circle probably has as many sybolic references as there are points on its edge but commonly they are said to stand for unity, wholeness and infinity. Whatever you wish it to symbolise the disc is a beautiful shape and is shown off by and shows off the beauty of whatever stone it is made from.
